Jan. 14, 2021
Good Morning!
More of the same from the last post. We haven’t had any snow since the last post so we are in a holding pattern with grooming.  Groomers are all ready to go as soon as we get some snow.  As I write this we are hoping for some snow with this weather pattern that is moving in. I will post as soon as the groomers are able to get out.
The trails are in fair to poor condition but open if you ride safely, watch your speed, and use caution.
A couple of updates,  there is a logging operation on the Bill Morgan trail so be careful there, also on the Morgan the mounds area is not groomed for about a 1/2 mile due to poor ice there.
The Falls area be on the lookout for orange cones as they are working on parts of the trails to widen and clear brush from sides of the trails.
The only trail that is open in the Park is the Green trail from Black bay to Ash River.  On that trail watch for several pressure ridges, and there are icy spots and spots where slush came thru and re-froze so there are ruts. Use caution in those areas. The Green trail from Ash River to Crane Lake is not open because of a few areas of thin ice, less than 5 inches, so travel there is not recommended.
Let’s hope things change and we can get in full operation soon.  Take care and ride safely.

Happy New Year to all!

Here is the latest info on our area trails.
Ash River/Kabetogama trails have all had their first grooming run.  We have panned most areas and groomed some areas.  With panning, the holes have been filled and snow packed. They are rideable but not in great shape.
Orr north and south spurs have the same as above.  First trip with groomer and drag is done.
Crane Lake is working on their trails, groomer has been out without the drag filling holes and clearing.  They will be out with the drag in the next couple of days.
In’t Falls area trails have been panned and are open.  The only trail that has not been panned is the west trail
going to Birchdale.
The Arrowhead trail from the Blue Ox south has had a first groom/pan.  It has been done all the way from Int’l Falls area to south of Elephant Lake.
The Park Sevice has the Green trail staked and groomed from Black bay south to Ash River.  Ash River to Crane lake has not been staked as they are still checking ice in those areas.  It will be staked as ice is certified safe.
Everyone needs to start dancing, that is snow dancing, with another dump of 5-6 inches, we will be in very good shape.
Remember the trails are not in great shape, so ride according to the conditions, stay safe, and still get out and have fun!  See you on the trails!
December 27, 2020
Here are some updates for the trails.
Trails are open and not groomed, not enough snow yet.  Please think about getting a few friends together and riding the trails and packing the swamp areas. Do not ride in one track, ride wide and pack the edges as well.
Checking ice yesterday, beaver ponds in the Kab area have between 6-8 inches of ice.  Plenty for sleds and ride and pack those as well.  We will need about twice as much ice to groom over those.
On the Voyageur trails between Ash River and Crane Lake, Amundsen creek still has flowing water. This is 5-6 miles south of Ash River.  We will be taking care of the beaver dam causing problems there.  Be careful in that area.  They have been packing the trail from Crane to the creek.
Orr area trails are packed and need riders on the south spur to help freeze down some swamps there.
We are working in all areas to try and get things frozen down before more snow.  If you can get out and help that would be great.  In the meantime, Know that we will be grooming and riding as soon as possible.  Happy New Year!
December 23, 2020
It’s getting to be that time of year.  Riders and Sleds ready for another year on the trails.  I will give an overview of what has been going on and what’s happening next.
We had a great response to our trails cleaning event a couple of weeks ago. It was great to have so many people step up and help.
All of the areas have been out and working and trying to get things ready once we have swamps frozen down and trails packed and a dump of snow.  Trails will be groomed as soon as possible as we still have to further check ice on beaver ponds and the Park will be checking ice thickness on the lakes and working on the portage trails.
Trails in Orr area, Int’l Falls area, Crane Lake area, and Ash River/Kabetogama area are cleared, not groomed but open.  Trails are rough, and some areas have wet spots, so if you ride be careful, and please ride wide to help pack, which will get the groomers out faster.  I will update this site often, as conditions change.
Merry Christmas and see you soon here in the North Country!
March 11, 2020
Well, It’s been a great year for snowmobiling in Voyageur Country.
The trails are in marginal shape, and grooming has come to a halt.  If you do head North for that last ride, check with resorts, restaurants, etc as to who is still open. Some have closed for the season.
The lake trails are still very rideable but a good idea to have scratchers for both lake riding or trail riding.
Thank you to all who have enjoyed our area this winter, it was great to have you here. Hopefully, you will return again next year and we will be excited you see you all again.  Thanks again!!!
March 5, 2020
Yes, it is happening!!!  It is snowing here and we have a good 5 inches of new snow as I write this.
The groomer’s will be out tonight and with the new snow trails will be in good shape for the weekend. All groomers at Crane lake, Orr, Ash River/Kab and I Falls will be out and working.  The Park and the State groomers will be out as well.
Don’t miss out on a great weekend to ride as the season is winding down. As always, ride safely, have fun and watch your speeds.
Feb, 25, 2020
After the warm weekend temps are starting to cool down and that is good.  Groomers will be out and working to get the trails back in great condition for the weekend.  The corners need some work with the warm weather and snow being blown out, but the operators will be get those areas fixed back up.  We still have lots of snow and there is more riding to be done.  So get up here and enjoy it.  If it stays colder, scratchers would be a good option to have along just in case.
Our sponsors are still all open and ready for your trip north.  Ride safely and enjoy the North Country.
Feb. 12, 2020
Another busy week of snowmobiling here in Voyageur Country.  Conditions are staying as they have been with few changes.  The snow base is holding up very well and trails are in great shape.  I rode all the trails this week and found great trails in all areas.  Orr, Ash River/Kabetogama, Crane Lake and Int’l Falls.  Groomers will be out all week with the big weekend coming.  Valentines and President’s Weekend.
There are a couple of areas with logging operations, and the re-route going into Crane Lake, but no problems in either case.
Take advantage of the great trails, and beautiful scenery here in Voyageur Country.  Check all of the map sponsors and please stop and thank them for their service.
Get up here for the best riding, and ride safely, and have fun!!!!
Feb. 5, 2020
Here is the latest update.  After the warm weekend and lots of traffic the trails took a beating.  We have been out and working on getting the snow pushed back on the corners and getting things back in shape.  We had below zero the last two nights and the wet snow from the warm days has frozen down hard so grooming will take a couple trips to get things smoothed back out and ready for the weekend. Groomers have been out almost every night and will continue to be out working and getting our great trails back in great shape.  Give a shout out to the groomer drivers as they put in lots of late night hours working on trails for you.  They all give it their best on each trip.
It looks like great weather for the rest of the week, with 20’s in the day and cooler nights. We have the best trails anywhere.  Check with local lodging establishments, and get up here and ride.  We will have things ready.  Watch your speed, ride safely and have fun!
Jan. 22, 2020
We have snow and lots of it.  After the weekend dump of 12+ inches, the groomers were out right after the snow ended and got things packed and groomed.  We are getting a thicker base on the trails right along and this means great trails. Lots of snow for the drivers to work with.
All areas here, Int’l Falls area, Ash River/Kabetogama, Crane Lake and Orr are all being groomed several times a week and talking with riders, we have a lot of happy people with our trails.  The Arrowhead Trail is in great shape as well.
This should be a great weekend, with warmer temps and lots of snow, get up here to Voyageur Country and enjoy it. Ride safely and be careful off trail on the lakes as there are areas with a lot of slush. See you on the trails.
Jan. 14, 2020
Some additions,  The Ray Spur has been groomed to the Ray North Rd (County Rd 3).  Did not cross the river there yet.  We will be checking ice there and hope to cross soon.
The Woodland Inn at the end of the Ray Spur is closed this year. Just a heads up there.
Also, we got another 5 inches of snow last night, so lots of snow to groom and work with.  See you up here soon!
Jan. 14, 2020
Here is the latest and greatest news on our trails here in Voyageur Country.
Ash River/ Kab trails are all groomed and ready for riders.  The Mounds area on the Bill Morgan trail are getting their second grooming today. So things are good there.  The 3K trail was groomed yesterday as the beaver pond is good.  The beaver pond on the Tone Dawg is also groomed and ready to go.  The problem areas have healed up and we will be grooming today, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  So things will be in great shape here.
The Orr trails are in great shape and have been groomed several times.
Crane Lake has all trails groomed and ready as well. The beaver pond on the Arrowhead Link trail has been groomed from both ends and they will be trying to cross there yet this week.
Int’l Falls area has things open and groomed as well.  The Blue Ox from town to Big Falls is groomed.  The Arrowhead trail from the Blue Ox to the 3K is groomed and the Hagerman trail has been groomed from both sides of the Rat Root River.  The trails from town out to Rainy lake are all groomed.
Park Service has staked the Chain of Lakes trail, the Kettle Falls trail (yellow trail) and the Purple trail from Rainy Lake Visitor Center to Kettle Falls.  The Green trail from Rainy Lake to Ash River and on to Crane Lake is staked and ready.
The Arrowhead trail from the Blue Ox is groomed and in great shape all the way south to the Taconite trail near Lake Vermilion.  Vermilion River still has lots of slush and very tough conditions.
Overall, things are looking very good and the trails are in great shape and the clubs have been working very hard and all are doing a Great job. Get up here and enjoy the best riding in the State.  Watch your speed and ride safely!!!
Jan. 6 2020
Some updates for today.
The Vermillion River is very much covered with slush and there are open water areas with the current and warm conditions.  Travel on the River is not recommended!
Clubs are still dealing with some wet areas, so there are spots that are not groomed as of yet.  However, cold weather is moving in tomorrow and Wednesday so that should help freeze things down to get groomers moving in those areas.
In the Ash River/ Kabetogama area the regular schedule of grooming is underway.
All other areas are out and working to get the problem areas dealt with.
There will be work this week on the Arrowhead Link trail just off the Arrowhead as the State will have a dozer there to remove a beaver damn.  Be careful in that area!!
Head North and enjoy the trails!  Watch your speed and be careful!
Jan, 3 2020
Here are the latest updates on trail conditions as of today.
The Ash River/ Kab trails are all groomed with the exception of the Ray Spur.  The Bill Morgan, Tone Dawg, Woody, and Trapper, Peterson bay, 3K and the Arrowhead from the Morgan to the 3k have been groomed and ready to go.
Orr and Elephant Lake areas are all groomed and ready also.
The Arrowhead trail from the Bill Morgan south to the Orr North spur is groomed.
The Falls club had both groomers out today, they were working on the Arrowhead and the trails east of the Falls out to the lake.
Crane Lake area has had groomers out for parts of those trails. They are working to get all groomed but have water problems in a few areas.
The Green trail on the lakes has now been staked from Ash River to Crane Lake.  So the entire length of the Green trail is now staked from Rainy Lake to Crane Lake.
A little word of caution, as there are areas on the lakes that slush has showed up.  Be careful in those areas and watch for tracks that have exposed the slush.
Most all of the trails have only had the first grooming so use caution and ride safely. Welcome to riding the North Country!

Dec. 31, 2019
Happy New Year!
Here are the latest updates with the trails.
Orr,
North and South spurs are groomed and will be groomed again on Thursday night.
Ash River/Kabetogama
Bill Morgan from the Groomer garage to the Arrowhead North to the 3K is groomed as of today.  The Bill Morgan, and area trails here at Kab will be groomed on Thursday and Friday.  The goal for this area is to have all the trails groomed for this weekend.
I Falls
Groomer is out and they are checking the swamps. No grooming as of today, but they will start as soon as possible.
Crane Lake area,
Groomer is out today packing and checking swampy areas.  Grooming should start soon.
Arrowhead Trail
State will be grooming South from Blackduck lake on Thursday and North from there on Friday. If that goes well, the Arrowhead trail will be groomed from the 3k all the way to the South of Elephant Lake.
Park
The Green trail is staked from Rainy Lake Visitor Center to Ash River. From Ash River to Crane lake is not staked. The Black bay and Sullivan bay portages have been groomed with the small groomer.  Lots of powder on the lake.  Fun stuff!
All areas are working hard to get all things packed and groomed.  Riders you can help if you ride the trails by riding wide, not following one another to help pack the trails. With packing comes freezing ground and the faster the groomer can get on the trails.
Lots of snow, get on up here, ride safely and take care.
Happy New Year and we’ll see you here soon.

Dec, 25, 2019

The Green Trail from Rainy Lake Visitor Center to Ash River is open and staked.  The Black bay and Sullivan Bay Portage trails have been groomed with the small groomer. Dec. 3, 2019
Here is your first update for the coming snowmobiling season.  We missed the big dump of snow so with colder weather coming, things will freeze up much faster and then some snow and things will shape up.
We have had a couple of groups working on trail clearing and starting that process.  If you have time contact one of our area clubs to find trail clearing scheduling schedules.  The more help, the faster things get done and ready when the snow comes.  Remember, please do your part and plan on helping.  It is appreciated.  Think snowmobiling!
March 25, 2019
Thanks again for all the sledders who came to our area this winter.  Just a remainder that all snowmobile trails officially close on April 1.  The easements are from Dec. 1 to April 1. Also, note that ATV’s, Side by Sides, etc are not allowed on the snowmobile trails.  Please honor this so we have our trails in place for next winter.  Thanks again and Have a Great Summer.
March 14, 2019
First off I would like to thank all of the snowmobiliers that came to Voyageur Country this winter.  We truly appreciate the time spend in our area. We hope that you all had a great experience in our area and that you will return again and again.
All the clubs in our area work very hard with quality equipment, excellent groomer operators to provide the best trails possible. Thanks again for coming to our area.

We did groom on Monday night, it has been very warm and wet since then, however, it is supposed to cool down this evening and Friday with some additional new snow. So the trails should be in good riding condition for the last weekend of trail riding for the season.  Thanks again!
March 6, 2019

I word of Caution at Crane Lake. The track is being readied for the Crane Lake Challenge Radar run on Saturday.  There are high banks in the that area.  Be careful there ard follow the signs.
Still lots of great riding to do, get up here and enjoy the great trails and wonderful scenery.  Have a safe ride, keep to the right, and have fun!
Feb. 21, 2019

Hello from Voyageur Country.  A great weekend and thanks to all those who decided to ride here in our area. We appreciate your being here.
We have had a little more snow and the groomers in all areas are going full blast.  The trails are in great shape and with more snow in the forecast and temps in the single digits and teens above during the day and cold at night things will stay great for quite awhile.
The Park Service got back on Kabetogama yesterday after problems last week.  They groomed the Green trail from Ash River to Black bay on Rainy. That will make for some much improved lake riding.
Get up here and enjoy some of the best trails and best scenery in the State of Minnesota.  Ride safely, keep to the right, and Have fun!  Look forward to having you here!
Feb. 13, 2019

Another update from Voyageur Country.  The Park Service has now opened the Chain of Lakes trail, Yellow trail to Kettle Falls, The Purple trail from Island View area to Kettle Falls on Rainy Lake, and the blue trail on Namakan lake into Sand Point Lake and on to Crane Lake.
We had between 8 and 11 inches of snow on Monday & Tuesday and we are getting another 8-12 inches for tonight and tomorrow.  The groomers will be out everyday thru the weekend. Conditions are absolutely wonderful.  Snowmobiling here is as good as it gets.
Don’t miss out, check out area accommodations and get up here.  You will love every bit of riding in Voyageur Country.  We welcome you here, and have fun and ride safely.
Feb. 4, 2019

The trails are in great shape and the groomers will be out all week and things will be as good as it gets for snowmobiliers in Voyageur Country.

From International Falls, to Ash River, Kabetogama, Crane Lake, and Orr all things are in great shape and are ready for visitors and locals alike. Don’t miss out on the great riding we have to offer.

Jan. 16, 2019
Greetings for another week.  Things are looking very good for trail conditions.  We have snow and the groomers are working on regular schedules and keeping things in great shape for you the riders.

In the Ash River/Kabetogama area, things are getting better every day. With the cold weather, we will be grooming the Ray Spur in it’s entire length today.  The local trails in this area are in great shape. The couple of beaver ponds that we had problems with are now being groomed, including the area of the Bill Morgan that was a problem. That will be groomed before the weekend.  So all is very good here.
The Orr area trails are in great shape.
The Crane Lake area trails are  groomed except for a couple of areas.
The first 5 miles of the Voyageur trail between Ash River and Crane Lake is not groomed.  The rest of the trail has been groomed twice this week so it is very good.
The State has groomed the Arrowhead trail twice now and will on the trail again this weekend.  Things are improving a great deal.
The Park Service has received some funding and is now working on grooming the portages and the Green trail from Rainy Lake to Crane lake.
The Int’l Falls trails are being groomed on a regular basis and are in great shape with a couple of small problem areas.
Overall, the entire area is in great shape and ready for you to head North to Voyageur Country.  Get up here and enjoy.  Have Fun and stay Safe!
Jan. 10, 2019
Let’s start by saying the trail conditions are very good.  We have a few problem areas but the trails have been groomed and are in very good shape.
All groomers are out and working.  The I’Falls area, Kabetogama, Ash River area have been groomed several times.  The Orr spurs are in great shape, and the Arrowhead trail from west of I’Falls to Elephant lake is all groomed now. Crane Lake area is mostly groomed as they have had some groomer issues but they will be out this weekend also.
The Green trail from Franks bay on Rainy to Kabetogama, Ash River, and on to Crane lake is staked and open. Watch for slush spots on the area lakes.
It’s time to head North and enjoy the great trails and hospitality of Voyageur Country.
Jan. 3, 2019
Happy New Year to all.  I will try here to give all the latest information on the trails.
In the Ash River/Kabetogama area nearly everything is groomed. The groomer is out tonight doing the Morgan and Arrowhead trails up to the 3K.  The 3K is not groomed as of yet. Waiting for more ice on that pond.  It is open and rideable.  We have groomed the Tone Dawg, and Mad trapper trails.  Pretty good here.
Crane lake has groomed the south trail to the Arrowhead.  They will be working on the north trail toward Ash River tomorrow.
The Orr trails from town on both the north and south are groomed and ready to go.
The Falls area is groomed east to town out to the lake. The Hagerman is groomed on both sides of the Rat Root river.  The Arrowhead from the Blue Ox to the 3K was groomed yesterday. As I type, they are grooming the Blue Ox to Littlefork and Big Falls.
The Green trail from Rainy to Ash River and on the Crane lake to staked. Watched for areas of slush on the lakes.
The Ray Spur will be groomed tonight as far as the Rat Root River.
Please use caution as there are areas not groomed yet, watch your speed and be safe out there.
March 13, 2018

Hello Everyone and Thanks for visiting our area this season.  For the most part, the grooming season is now over.  The trails are groomed and still in riding shape, but as the weather continues to warm, grooming will be limited unless we get another dump of snow.  Most the resorts are now closed for the season.  If you planning to come up for another ride, call ahead to the resorts, bars and restaurants to check on their schedules.
It has been a very good year in our area, and we thank you again for patronizing the Borderland.  We hope to see you again next year!
March 6, 2018
With the weather cooling down, we are back grooming full scale.  Groomers will be out all week getting the trails in great shape for another week for riding. We have a good base and trails are fully snow covered, so another good week and weekend of riding.  Crane, I Falls, Orr, Ash River/ Kabetogama groomers are all out and working.  The Park trails and the Arrowhead trail are also being groomed.  So we should have a great week ahead.  Get up here and enjoy while it lasts.   Thanks for riding with us this year.
Dec. 28, 2018

It is getting to be time.  With the fresh snow fall the last couple of days things are looking better.  We have some issues with beaver ponds not having enough ice for the groomer but we will be checking them on a regular basis.  We have plenty of snow and the land trails are open.  We need riders to ride and ride wide and not follow one another down the middle.  This helps with freezing down the entire width of the trails.
We just got news that the Park Service got the go ahead to stake the lake trails.  They are starting on the Rainy side and heading for Ash River. They are also checking ice from Ash River to Crane Lake, if good, that will be staked also.  Good News.  They are working as I write this.

The groomer will be out as soon as possible and I will post when that happens.
Ride and be safe!

Things are shaping up nicely.  Since two days ago, the groomer has been out and the Morgan trail from the groomer garage to the Arrowhead, and north to the 3K is open and groomed.  The Tone Dawg trail is groomed as is the Peterson bay trail and the Mad Trapper.  The trail is in good shape for the first grooming.  The Morgan trail from the groomer garage to Ash River is now packed and ready for the groomer.  A couple of wet spots need to freeze a little more and it will be groomed also.

The Falls area groomers are out and were working the trails east to town out to the lake.  They were grooming the Arrowhead south to 3K today if conditions permit.
The Green Lake Trail is open and staked from Rainy to Ash River.  They are staking the trail from Ash River to Crane Lake today.  Use caution on the lakes, there is slush showing up so watch for that.  If you stay on the trail
you will be fine.  Remember none of the other Lake trail are open or staked.
The Orr area trails out to the Arrowhead on both the north and south are groomed and ready to go.

Folks are working hard and we appreciate all those who are helping.
Ride Safe!!!
Feb. 28, 2018

It’s that time of year.  Warm days and cool nights makes for a great week to ride.  After all the snow last week, we have an excellent base and groomers are out.  The trails are still in great shape and should continue for the rest of the week.  Checking with riders, they are finding excellent riding and are enjoying the warmer temps.  It looks like more snow for the weekend, so another chance to have some fun riding here in Voyageur country.
Feb. 21, 2018

Snow, Snow, and more Snow.  If you are thinking snow, we have it.  We have received between 10 and 12 inches of snow since Sunday.  It is just awesome here right now.
The groomers are out and going full time to get the trails in great shape. We are adding to our base and the trails have lots of snow on them now.  Conditions are great.  We have more snow in the forecast for the weekend as well.
Our entire area received the snow, so the Orr area, Crane lake area, Ash River/ Kabetogama, and Int’l Falls areas are all Grooming full time.  So if you are looking for a great time, riding in lots of snow, now is the time to get up here and enjoy some of the best riding of the winter.
Feb. 13, 2018

We are ready here in the North Land.  We have excellent conditions with a good base and plenty of powder on the trails.  With the colder weather, the trails have held up very well and the groomers are out almost daily keeping the trails in excellent condition. The Int’l Falls, Ash River/Kabetogama, Crane Lake and Orr area trails are being groomed and the drivers are doing a great job.  The Lake Trails in the Park are being groomed as well and are in the best shape of the winter.  The Arrowhead trail south is also in great shape.  Groomers are out hitting the heaviest travel areas more often to keep things in shape.

With all of that said, if you haven’t been in our area this winter, now is the time.  You will love the hospitality and the riding opportunities and will love to come back again.
See you on the Trails!
Feb. 6, 2018
Another great week of snowmobiling here in the North Country.   We have a good base and plenty of snow to keep the trails in great shape.  The groomer drivers in all areas are doing a great job.  All groomers are out and getting trails in tip top shape after the busy weekend.  They will be out again on the weekend to hit the busiest areas and try our best to have the best riding in the state.
There are a couple of berms on Kabetogama to watch out for. They are signed and marked but keep that in mind when crusing the lake trail.
The forecast is a bit warmer for the weekend and trails in great shape, so get up here and enjoy the North Country and Voyageurs National Park.  See you soon!
Jan. 30, 2018
It was another great weekend for the riders.  It got warm on Friday so the trails were a little bumpy on Sat. but still good conditions.  Groomers were out on Saturday night and early week and the trails are back in excellent shape.  We have cooler weather now so the conditions will remain very good.  We have a good base and the groomer drivers are doing an excellent job.
We have snow in the forecast for today and tonight and more for Friday.  So that should make conditions even better.  The groomers will be out again later this week and get things in great shape for the coming weekend.
The International Falls, Ash River/Kabetogama, Crane lake and Orr area trails are all in excellent shape.  The Park Service is grooming the lake trails now and also keeping the portage trails and Chain of Lakes trails in good shape.  The Arrowhead trail to the South is being groomed twice a week, so all is well for rides here.  Don’t miss a chance for some great riding.
See you soon!

It was a great weekend and the trails are still in great shape.  The groomers are back out and getting things all set for another great week of snowmobiling.  We still have a good base, and lots of happy riders from the weekend.  We will be grooming this week, and to make it better let’s do that snow dance again.

Voyageurs National Park is open with the gov’t shutdown.  They will not be grooming until that issue is settled.  All trails in the Park are Open and in good shape.  Lake trails are a little rough but open.

The Arrowhead trail, Int’l Falls area trails, Crane lake trails are all in good shape and groomers are out.

Don’t miss out on some great riding here in the North Country.  See you soon.
Our goal is to keep our trails at their best,  for you, The Rider.

Things are looking very good here.  Between last Wednesday and now we have had about another foot of snow.  The groomers are out and the trails are in excellent shape.  With warmer weather coming for the weekend, it is a great time to get up here.  All area trails are groomed including the International Falls area, Crane lake and the Orr area trails.  The Arrowhead trail to the south all groomed and in good shape.  All the the Trails in Voyageurs Nat’l Park are open including the Chain of Lakes and the Kettle Falls trails.  The portage’s are all groomed as well.   We have a real winter going on here, with plenty of snow and great trails.  If you have the itch to ride, now is the time to be here.

Thanks for checking in, and maybe see you on the trails!

We have been working on the trails to get ready for the season.  Crews have brushed and trails are open but not groomed.  We have to do more packing in the swamps and beaver ponds to need more freezing and thicker ice for the groomer.  The Morgan trail on the Ash River end needs to be packed and checked.   We will be headed out for more packing and with some colder weather the next couple of days things should be better.  We will be running the groomer on the trails that we can get to.  I will keep you posted more as we go along.
The Lake trails are not staked and are not open as of yet.  The shutdown isn’t helping on that end.
We have 8 to 10 inches of new snow today, so as we get things frozen down we will be full grooming mode soon.
The Orr trails are open and not groomed but the trail across Pelican lake is staked.
